PRESENTATION OF THE FIRST FLOAT OF A FLOATING AND GROUND-BASED SOLAR POWER PLANT

The Longhi family, of the Longhi Concrete Company, decided to use the land of a quarry at the end of its operation to build this floating plant, the first of its kind in the Lot-et-Garonne.

By developing and building this project, Amarenco has given new life to the gravel pit.

Les centrales photovoltaïques permettent d’accroître l’accès à une énergie provenant d’une source renouvelable et donc de réduire les émissions de GES.

ONE OF THE LARGEST EUROPEAN BATTERY STORAGE PROJECTS IN THE GIRONDE REGION

♻️ The Energy transition cannot be achieved without the development of innovative storage solutions for renewable energies.

🔋 In order for decarbonized energy to continuously meet consumer energy needs, it is necessary to be able to store excess energy produced to meet peak demands.

To meet this challenge, Amarenco Group is currently developing the “Claudia” project, a lithium-ion battery storage project located in Saucats in Gironde (33).

This project is the winner of the second tranche 2022-2028 of RTE’s long-term call for tenders (AOLT). It represents 50% of the battery capacity that was allocated in the AOLT.

⚡ Its power makes it one of the largest storage projects in Europe!

▶️ 105MW of total capacity controllable by RTE to ensure security of supply and power system security.

This project is being developed in partnership with Nidec Industrial Solutions, located in Roche la Molière and a pioneer in the provision of battery energy storage solutions, to build the asset.

SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2021

Today we are releasing our ESG 2021 report, Amarenco’s first sustainability report.

This is an important step in our drive for transparency, opening up the discussion about our mission and how we deliver on it to everyone.

Because our mission is to help our clients achieve carbon neutrality, increase their economic competitiveness and create additional sources of value for themselves and their local communities, while regenerating the earth’s ecosystem.

This report is an annual gathering of our ESG projects and results that we want to involve as many people as possible.

Our teams are working hard to produce clean energy, reduce our footprint, remove asbestos, create wildlife habitat, improve our experience as employees and develop local communities.

That’s what we wanted to capture in this document, which is an initial summary of the highlights of 2021. We will soon focus on iconic and meaningful actions that shape the engagement and drive the attractiveness of our company.
