Signing the EU Solar Charter

On the 15th of april 2024, @Frederic Maenhaut travelled to Brussels to sign the EU Solar Charter, a government initiative aimed at boosting European production of photovoltaic panels.

Under the impetus of Roland Lescure, the French Minister for Industry and Energy, and Bruno Le Maire, the French Minister for the Economy, the charter aims to ensure that 30% of panel orders go to European producers by 2025. An “Induscore” rating system, comparable to Nutriscore, will be introduced to identify manufacturers complying with these European production standards.

With more than 100 signatories, including Amarenco, and the support of industry federations, the Solar Pact aims to meet the industrial challenge of the photovoltaic sector, by consolidating the economic and industrial sovereignty of the European Union.

Amarenco act 2 and power 2

𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲

Since its launch in 2013, Amarenco has seen significant growth, embodying optimism and marking numerous achievements. Its core mission has attracted a wide range of stakeholders – from employees to investors and clients, all driven by a vision of regeneration and the belief in renewing resources and ecosystems to support sustainable energy solutions for a healthier planet 🌳 The commitment to energy transition opens up economic opportunities, spurs innovation, creates eco-friendly jobs, and enhances societal resilience against climate issues. This journey also involves evolving governance to tackle emerging challenges, emphasizing the importance of acting as change agents on both personal and collective levels. 🤝 After many years of dedication and invaluable contributions, Olivier Carré, a major founder of our company, has decided to seek new professional challenges outside our organization. Another major founder, John Mullins, has decided to vacate his role as an Executive of the company by the end of the year but will remain as Non Executive Chairman. We are immensely grateful for their vision, leadership, and commitment, which have been crucial in the development and growth of our company.

Frederic Maenhaut joins Amarenco as Deputy CEO, bringing with him valuable experience in successfully managing businesses through different cycles and expertise in the RE sector, and his mission will be to structure, align and drive change to improve the conversion effectiveness of our pipeline and to prepare to deliver our Regenerative agenda. Similarly, Xavier Messing 🌱 joins us as Chief Development Officer Europe, with an impressive track record in the development field of working with various developers and independent power producers, his mission will be to help to further develop our value proposition and to align and focus our business lines to execute the development strategy across our geographies. Their combined expertise and passion for the energy transition will strengthen our ability to meet future challenges and seize new growth opportunities. Amarenco is thus embarking on a new dimension, never forgetting the core of its commitment to reconciling unnecessarily maintained antagonisms (capitalism versus ecology, digitalization versus authentic relations). We serve as the link that harmonizes these needs through an aggregative and integrative model, increasingly urgent to apply now. 💡 Amarenco Act 2 is here, and it’s time to move forward with a renewed spirit and unwavering determination!

Amarenco was at the Salon International de l’Agriculture

Amarenco was at the Salon International de l’Agriculture with MiiMOSA, Eloi and Genesis to showcase our complementary solutions for a successful agro-ecological transition!

Our Amarenco experts, Ana-Maria Dubois Iorgulescu and Jeanne Magnan, took the floor on the La Ferme Digitale stand to present our various partnerships.

  • Ana spoke on Tuesday 27 February as part of a round table on the hope of an agricultural model reinvigorated by impact measurement, to explain our environmental objectives, of which our ECHO programme is at the heart. She was accompanied by Quentin Sannié, Chairman and co-founder of Genesis, Pierre TOUSSAINT, Director of Sustainable Development at AXEREAL, Christophe Beaunoir, CEO of Saipol (Avril) and Adrienne De Malleray, co-founder
  • On Thursday 29 February, Jeanne discussed solutions to the challenges of the agricultural and energy transition, particularly for small and medium-sized farms, with Maxime Pawlak, co-founder of Eloi, Florian BRETON, founder of MiiMOSA and Aude Richard, a journalist specialising in agriculture and renewable energy.

In France, the agricultural sector plays a crucial role in the national economy, contributing around 1.75% of GDP. Faced with the challenges posed by price fluctuations, the impact of climate change and the transition to sustainable practices, the sector finds itself at a crossroads of opportunities. In particular, the renewable energy market, spearheaded by agri-voltaics, is booming. It can be a solution for adapting to climate change and anticipating an agro-ecological transition.

Inauguration of the Montpezat d’Agenais half-floating, half-landing power plant

Unique, emblematic, ecologically and economically significant: Amarenco inaugurated its very first hybrid solar power plant in France on September 21.

Strategically located in Montpezat d’Agenais in the Lot-et-Garonne department, this plant covers 5 hectares, 3 of which are floating, of the 8-hectare industrial site belonging to the Longhi Béton company.

Already operational for several months, it currently generates 6,170 MWh at a power of 4.8 MWp, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 2,500 people (excluding heating and hot water production).

The plant will save 250 tonnes of CO2 every year, the equivalent of 1,300 flights from Paris to New York.

More than 90 people were present on September 21, 2023 to witness this landmark event in our quest for a cleaner, more resilient energy future: journalists, executives, partners.

AMARENCO IDENTITY THEFT ALERT

Amarenco has been informed of the existence of fraudulent practices by people impersonating some of its employees, encouraging individuals to invest in renewable energy projects via participatory financing. Amarenco advises anyone who is the subject of such solicitations to be extremely vigilant. These approaches constitute attempts at fraud, which may involve deceptive solicitations seeking to carry out a transaction by means of a bank transfer or dematerialised payment. These solicitations are made by e-mail or by telephone using Amarenco’s name. While these may seem serious at first glance, there are certain details that should alert you to potential fraud.

Adopt the right reflexes

Never click on a link in an e-mail asking you to connect in order to reactivate a bank account, check suspicious transactions or enter bank details. Always check the sender’s address. Amarenco strongly urges you to beware of offers that are too attractive, that promise a very high and risk-free return, and that require you to make a decision or take action quickly. Under no circumstances do we offer to invest directly in renewable energy projects, as proposed by recent fraud attempts that have been identified. Generally speaking, Amarenco does not offer direct investments or banking products, whether for investment or savings.
